NOSFERATU- AKA Lance Alexander.
My early career in art started in Norwich in 1988 working for a design studio. In the mid 90s I freelanced for the BBC art department working for the children’s history section ( Saxons and Vikings). Later inspired by hands on approach to history moved onto outdoor experimental archaeology and currently spend most of my time with old artefacts and bones in the museum service!
Artistically influenced by Ashley Wood and 2000ad artists from the 80s, plus the works of H P Lovecraft and Marvel comics, most of my art has been 1/6 scale monsters and characters in the past 10 years. Now mainly focusing on prop building for science fiction based exhibitions including scratch built full scales Yoda, blasters, costumes and gadgets
Cosplay is also a major part of creative work, and costume building for events has taken over much of my spare time including creating Guttrot the Mordor Orc, Judge Dredd comic version and more often Stormtrooper TK-335 from Star Wars 1977.
I am always inspired by the talented online community, and delighted to be taking part in this special art show in Norwich- back where it all started for me.
