British born, Berlin based multi-media artist, painter, illustrator, curator, designer, successfully blurring the lines between art and design. He is best known for his involvement in the Designer Toy Scene, and his signature collectibles range “Lunartik in a Cup of Tea”, and his ongoing work for manufacturing giants Titan Merchandise.
The son of a photographer, Matt (born the UK, in 1977), had always been partial to expressing himself through art and experimented with different art styles growing up. After graduating with a BA in Industrial Design from Birmingham University in 1997, Matt honed his skills as a design freelancer for several years, where his designs and concepts earned him the reputation of a “prodigy of quirk” amongst his fellows.
While the “Lunartik Mini Tea” series kept the toy community’s cup full of original Jonesian quirk, Matt also began working with Titan Merchandise, and has been exclusively designing the Titan Toys’ lines of vinyl figures for some of the biggest and most beloved franchises in pop-culture history. To date, he designed and prototyped the Titan Toys collectible figures for Star Trek, Doctor Who, Alien, The Beatles, Ghostbusters, 2000AD and many more. View Projects.
